The Town of Millville's official website, initially designed and maintained by a Delaware state agency, had become outdated and no longer met the municipality's needs in terms of quality and support. The town required a significant website refresh to enhance usability, accessibility, and content organization to serve its community members better.
Solution
SEO Optimization: Adhering to the latest SEO best practices, we ensured the Town of Millville's new website would rank higher in search engine results, driving more traffic and increasing visibility.
508 Compliance Testing: The website was rigorously tested for 508 compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA), ensuring it was accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
Content Audit and Reorganization: We conducted a comprehensive content audit to identify outdated or irrelevant information and then reorganized the website's content strategically to enhance accessibility for visitors.
Migration and Theme Framework: We successfully migrated all existing content from the old WordPress platform to the new one, using Generate Press as the theme framework. This significantly improved front-end performance, resulting in a faster and more responsive website.
