What are the benefits to using a decoupled website structure?
With a decoupled website, you are less constrained by one specific CMS being used. That said, CMSs like Drupal or Wordpress provide core back-end CMS functionalities while still providing "themes" as more traditional front-end functionality. Other benefits include additional security because the front and back-ends remain separate (allowing extra layers of security to be set up), less upgrading, reducing site load times, and more.
